Cork-based Tiger Developments has received full planning permission for a £250m mixed-use scheme in Edinburgh’s financial district.

Tiger’s Chairman Michael O’Flynn is now seeking funding for the 510,000 sq ft office scheme known as The Haymarket in the hope that construction can begin in 2012.

The office-led scheme also includes around 58,000 sq ft of retail and leisure and a 245-bedroom Travelodge hotel.

O’Flynn said: “Achieving consent for a scheme of this nature in Edinburgh is a real achievement and good news for all concerned.

“We have a number of parties who are keen to co-fund this development.”
