Anti-blacklist demo causes chaos at Olympics

Anti-blacklist protesters caused chaos outside the Olympic Park today when they stopped deliveries getting onto the site for more than an hour.

Traffic ground to a halt in Pudding Mill lane as the demonstrators continually crossed a zebra crossing near the site gates.

The protesters were supporting an electrician who has recently been removed from the job.

One demonstrator said: “There was gridlock during this morning’s rush-hour.

“Police and management on the Olympics were unsurprisingly unhappy but couldn’t prevent us from repeatedly crossing a zebra crossing for an hour stopping all traffic in and out of the site.”

The protest later moved to outside the Olympics Delivery Authority offices in Stratford.

An ODA spokesman said: “This caused no disruption to work on the site whatsoever.”
