Barr selected for £38m Aberdeen FC stadium
Barr has been named as the preferred bidder for Aberdeen FC’s new £38m stadium in the Loirston area of the city.
Local councillors have already backed plans for the Don’s new stadium, which will be capable of holding about 21,000 fans.
Construction work is expected to get underway early next year to allow the stadium to open its gates for the 2013/14 season.
Aberdeen FC intends to sell its current home at Pittodrie for housing.
The new Dons stadium will be ready for the 2013/14 season.
