Fowler, who had been with O’Rourke for nearly eight years, now heads up the contractor’s key division, which designs and delivers large buildings and infrastructure projects.
His division is currently delivering the first phase of the Rathbone Market development in Newham, east London and the Finzels Reach project in Bristol.
Fowler worked as project leader on five of the 11 Athletes Village plots on the Olympics site.
Prior to this he was project manager on Laing O’Rourke joint ventures in the UAE and India, working on the delivery of large mixed use, leisure and commercial schemes including the Al Raha Beach Development in Abu Dhabi and DLF Place in Mumbai.
Fowler, who before that worked with Sisk for six years as a contracts manager, said: “John Sisk & Son has seen excellent growth during the last year and the major projects division has been no exception, winning high profile projects and delivering excellent results.
“The company has a long heritage and a strong, sustainable business model – I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to shape and direct the major projects team to maximise revenue potential.”
