New head for O’Rourke building division
Laing O’Rourke has promoted Callum Tuckett to become Business Unit leader for the whole UK construction business.
The move will see Tuckett head-up O’Rourke’s building operations and his initial focus will be on securing and servicing the contractor’s most valuable clients and projects across the south east.
Tuckett is a product of O’Rourke’s ‘Young Guns’ management programme.
A spokesman said: “Laing O’Rourke has always believed that the primary reason for our company’s success has been our inherent ability to nurture and progress talented people through the ranks.
“By equipping them with the necessary skills, experience and, most importantly, organisational values, we have embedded a determination to compete to win in the marketplace.”
In other management changes, Nick Down joins the firm from Carillion to lead Middle east operations.
He replaces Liam Cummins who moves to the Australia Hub as Western Region Director.
