Trio chase £20m London Senate House revamp
Balfour Beatty, Graham Construction and Willmott Dixon are battling it out to revamp the University of London’s Senate House North Block in central London.
The £20m job will involve lowering a courtyard area and installing a large glass roof structure to provide extra study space for students from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
The project also includes the refurbishment of the existing Grade II listed building to provide a mixture of teaching spaces and academic offices.
The University of London has employed Mace to deliver pre-construction, project management, design and cost consultancy on the landmark project.
It has helped to gain planning permission and listed building consent for the refurbishment of Senate House, which is due to get underway in May.
