The decision paves the way for Keltbray to start demolishing the art deco Earls Court concert and exhibition venue, although no start date has been made public.
Sir Robert McAlpine will then start building work early next year delivering 1,200 new homes and the first phase of a new high street.
Two new sweeping crescents will be created with impressive town houses, mansion buildings and garden squares to create a new residential neighbourhood with 1,800 sq ft of community, health and leisure facilities.
The scheme covers over a quarter of the overall £8bn Earls Court Masterplan, which was granted outline approval last November for 7,500 homes, new health, cultural and community facilities as well as 23 acres of green space including the five acre Lost River Park.
The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham also granted detail planning to convert from offices to flats the landmark Empress State Building in Earls Court.
This will now be integrated into the Earls Court Masterplan, adding 580,000 square feet of residential floor space to the overall Masterplan area.
The hire-rise conversion proposes the creation of 340 new homes as well as improvements to the façade of the existing building.
