Griffiths wants South West subcontractors

Civil engineer Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd is looking to meet with potential suppliers and new employees following a series of contract wins in South West England.

Griffiths is hosting a Meet the Buyer/Employer day in Bristol next month on December 8.

The firm is looking for new faces after winning two flagship projects – the South Bristol Link and Bathurst Basin Bridges.

Griffiths beat Balfour Beatty and John Graham to the South Bristol Link which will see construction of a 4.5m single carriageway.

At Bathurst Basin Bridges Griffiths is preferred bidder to deliver a new road bridge across the former entrance lock between Bathurst Basin and the River Avon.

The list of subcontractors and suppliers needed for these jobs includes:

Griffiths said: “All contractors interested in being considered for our supply chain for the above listed materials and sub-contracts will be required to complete and pass a PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire).

“Copies of the PQQ will be issued on the day of the event.”

The firms also has a large team of directly employed staff and is looking for the following trades:

Griffiths said: “All potential employees are requested to bring with them a CV outlining their skills, experience & training and will be offered the opportunity to have informal discussions with various members of our team with regards to employment opportunities.”

The event will take place on Monday, 8th December 2014    9:00am – 8:00pm South Bristol Sports Centre, West Town Lane, Bristol, BS14 9EA.
