Work will include the construction of a 25 metre pool, a six-lane bowling arena, squash courts, a sports hall and health and fitness facilities.
Farrans is looking to recruit local supply chain partners across all trades, from general building to waste management and more specialist trades such as pool water treatment.
Constructionline will be hosting the Supplier Engagement Day on Tuesday 4th August at Nottingham Forest Football Club.
The event will provide local firms with details on how they can secure work on the project and the selection criteria needed to qualify.
Scott McVey, business development manager at Constructionline, said: “This event in Nottingham is a great opportunity for East Midlands subcontractors to learn about this high-profile work in their region.
“Major contractors and clients are keen to work with local firms, and vice versa, and the event is designed to equip subcontractors with a knowledge of selection criteria before they begin submitting their tender information, while helping Farrans Construction source local suppliers cost-effectively.”
Raymond Millar, director at Farrans Construction, added: “We’re keen to engage with local SMEs and establish a supply chain in the region as we experience an increasing workload in the area.
“Our procurement staff will be available to answer any questions local firms may have about the project and how they can best go about applying for work with us.”
The event will run from 10am until 3pm and suppliers do not have to be a Constructionline member to attend.
