The event will be held at the Bescot Stadium where firms can meet decision-makers from potential clients in the region.
Attendees from the public sector include Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council and the University of Wolverhampton.
Representatives from Acivico Ltd., a company wholly owned by Birmingham City Council, will also be on hand to provide information about their new Building Fabric Repairs & Maintenance (BFR&M) initiative, which aims to create more opportunities for SMEs on the Council’s future projects.
A range of private sector buyers will also be there including Kier, Wates and Mears, in addition to VINCI Facilities, gas safety experts Capita Gas Compliance Services, Black Country Housing Group and housebuilder United Living.
Leo McMulkin, head of facilities management at Acivico Ltd., said: “We want to make it easier for SMEs in the area to win work and we’re looking forward to meeting potential new suppliers face-to-face to get a real sense of how joining our supply chain will help to bring our projects to life.”
Cheryl Wrench, client relationship manager at Constructionline, said: “Our Meet the Buyer events are designed to help small businesses really understand what it is that buyers in their regions are looking for so they can join robust, local supply chains.
“We’ll be on hand during the event with the latest advice on the processes involved with selection and tenders and, ultimately, help to make the buying process more accessible to everyone.”
The event is free and suppliers do not have to be Constructionline members to attend.
