Developer DeTrafford Estates Group aims to build three residential tower blocks of 18, 26 and 32 storeys to provide around 400 flats and 50 retirement living homes.
The scheme has been designed by architect Simpson Haugh and will form part of the Great Jackson Street Development Framework in the city.
Work has already got underway on its taller four cousins at Owen Street which will reach 37, 44, 50 and 64 storeys. When finished they will provide a high-rise backdrop to the new scheme located between Deansgate train station and the Mancunian Way.
North west demolition specialist Total Controlled Demolition has been in talks with the developer about clearing the 1.2-acre site ahead of construction.
