Barnet and Southgate College £15,325,632 This project will deliver the construction of a new 5,300 m2 College Centre, comprising state of the art industry standard technical workshops for Construction technologies, specialist Hairdressing Salons within a retail environment and high quality teaching environments for ESOL and businesses. It will seek to address significant shortcomings of 16,800 m2 of old dilapidated category C and D classrooms on the Grahame Park site. The sale of this site and acquisition of land in a centralised location in the heart of a local authority regeneration scheme represents a strong collaborative partnership between Further Education, Local Authority and Housing Agencies. The new facilities will help raise aspirations of people in the Colindale area, a challenging social demographic area and in turn increase the CollegeÕs capability to support more people into apprenticeships and sustainable jobs. Learners and local businesses will also benefit from being able to access industry standard resources and specialist support services including a planned job brokerage service.
Barnsley College £3,853,963 This project will create a Sport & Public Services centre of excellence at Barnsley College. It will consolidate geographically disparate accommodation; reducing college sites from three to two. It will create sporting and health facilities which provide exceptional opportunities and inspirational and transformational learning experiences. The enhanced and extended facilities will increase employer engagement and provide exciting learning programmes that improve health and well being for all including unemployed young people and adults in the local community. The project will contribute to Remaking Barnsley, the main economic driver for regeneration of the townÕs urban centre which aims to create a thriving urban environment.  
Blackpool and Fylde College £5,097,000 This project aligns to the CollegeÕs property strategy and will refurbish mechanical and electrical provision on two of the collegeÕs campuses.Taking the buildings (11,081m2) to a BREEAM Ôvery goodÕ standard. 
Brooksby Melton College £6,291,840 This project consists of three separate sub-projects; Melton Campus – New tourism and catering facilities of 850m² over two floors for classrooms, teaching kitchens, seminar rooms and cafe area. Brooksby Hall main site 1,596m² refurbished Buckingham Centre and 204m² of science facilities, and; Brooksby Hall Campus (Hives) new Equine facilities 500m² and Animal Care facilities 550m² . This is the final element of the capital build strategy to provide state of the art facilities at the College.
Bury College £7,682,783 Bury College will deliver a project consisting of a new build STEM centre (including workshops, science laboratories and a digital media centre) and a new build sports centre. The project also enables demolition and/or removal of over 2,800 m2 of accommodation in poor or inoperable condition.  The project will create space for an additional 400 places for learners and employers engaged in a range of Greater Manchester LEP priority sectors, including STEM, Creative and Digital, Construction and the Built Environment, and Sports, Fitness and Leisure. 
Carlisle College £2,289,913  
The project will upgrade and refurbish the CollegeÕs Construction provision, expand the Motor Vehicle area to address local demand and fully remodel all remaining accommodation in Category D to create much needed specialist provision within the Business and Enterprise curriculum area. Overall impact of the project will increase new learners by 125 and offer an additional 75 new Apprenticeships.
 
Chelmsford College £3,070,000  
The project builds upon previous capital investment and entails refurbishment to both college campuses (Moulsham Street and Princes Road).   This proposal will provide industry standard environments including assessment centres and a functional skill suite, which are flexible and cost effective to operate, supporting growth in Apprenticeships, Higher Apprenticeships and improvements in performance.    Curriculum areas that will be supported and benefit from the proposal include Catering and Hospitality, IT, Construction, Science and Design & Media.   The proposal links with and supports local economic growth plans. 
Dudley College £1,710,250 Dudley Enhance is an innovative, cost-effective solution that will provide much needed additional teaching and support facilities for learners following sciences, engineering, and advanced manufacturing programmes. The success of Dudley Sixth and the demand for engineering and manufacturing at Dudley Advance have necessitated that the college develops these additional facilities. Dudley Enhance will provide an inspirational new learning environment. The building comprises a multi-use STEM workshop/lecture theatre, a Mathematics Innovation Centre, an iPoint (e learning resource area), a book repository and a refectory and training kitchen. The training kitchen will provide a real-life working environment for the collegeÕs catering students.
Guildford College of Further and Higher Education £8,867,489  
This project addresses significant infrastructure deficiencies of Category C space through the remodelling and refurbishment of the CollegeÕs Construction and Technology buildings.  It will provide upgraded, flexible learning environments and workshops and a new learning hub allowing for the delivery of higher level qualifications and a broader curriculum offer that meets local demand.
Kendal College £3,340,069 The project involves the modernisation and replacement of facilities. It will refurbish a 1912 building (902m2) updating all internal services replacing the roof and creating 4 additional teaching spaces. Creating a centre for NEET and unemployed. And it will demolish an existing building (630m2), to create a two storey new build, providing specialist art and design spaces, multi-purpose workshops. Overall impact of the project will increase new learners by 148 and offer an additional 94 new Apprenticeships.
Leeds City College (Phase 2) £9,997,374 This (phase 2) project will create a new vocational centre housing Motor Vehicle, Engineering, Manufacturing and Electrical provision and new hall to accommodate Hair & Beauty, Learning Resource Centre and Student Services.  New Industry standard equipment will improve provision and respond to emerging technologies, in line with Leeds City region priorities.  It will help address higher level skills shortages in Mechanical Engineering and develop skills in low carbon economy, as area for future jobs growth.  The project will reduce NEETs by providing education and training opportunities, increase apprenticeships in the STEM sector and improve partnership engagement with Employers.  The improved facilities will inspire learners through their learning experience, to progress into further learning and / or employment.  Phase 1 was completed for the 2013/14 academic year for Hospitality, Catering and Food manufacturing students.
Nelson and Colne College £3,672,306  
This Project aims to address significant shortcomings within the CollegeÕs existing Science and Sports provision. The Science block will be remodelled and extended to deliver Science laboratories, IT and Mathematics.  The project will also create a new all weather sports facilities to improve the curriculum offer in sports, Public services and Health and Fitness.  Overall the project will increase new learners by 100 and offer an additional 69 Apprenticeships
 
NESCOT (North East Surrey College of Technology) £20,731,000  
The project will reconfigure 6,924m2 of Category C accommodation and provide 4,168m2 new build.  It will improve the entrance to the College providing open and accessible public facing services, an enterprise and employability centre and enhanced vocational and professional facilities including hair and beauty salons.  A Construction Trades building will provide industry standard learning environments in a range of specialist trades that meet local stakeholder needs.  It will also provide up to date facilities for Sport and Leisure and Travel and Tourism courses.
 
Newcastle-under-Lyme College £4,240,694 Newcastle-under-Lyme College in North Staffordshire will deliver a project to build a new Theatre Arts Academy, providing learners with high quality, energy-efficient and flexible accommodation.  The project will replace existing poor quality and inefficient accommodation in a former-school three miles from the main campus.  The new centre will provide a creative, high technology hub for theatre arts and performance and will allow for the relocation of music technology from the main campus, thereby enabling space for the expansion of STEM provision.  Over 200 additional learners per annum will benefit from the project, including an estimated 62 apprentices and employed learners.
Northbrook College, Sussex £12,600,000  
This investment will see the complete removal of all of the CollegeÕs inoperable category D buildings and heralds Phase 3 of a phased property strategy to rebuild all inadequate accommodation on its main sites.  Construction and engineering facilities on the Broadwater campus will be revitalised through a combination of new build and refurbishment in direct response to LEP priority curriculum areas.  Investment at West Durrington will see the accommodation of music provision, the removal of inadequate mobile classrooms and significant improvements to learner facilities. 
 
Plumpton College £2,582,100  
Plumpton College is a land-based provider offering specialist provision.   The proposal builds upon previous capital investment that has supported growth.   The project involves renewal, modernisation and expansion of the main building providing an ICT suite and teaching facilities within aquaculture and fisheries management.   This will provide updated learning environments including tank rooms, incubation and breeding rooms with practical workshops and classrooms to support changes in curriculum, technological changes and growth for this sector including Apprenticeships.   The proposal supports skills needs identified for this industry area and responds to local business requirements.
 
Redbridge College £7,299,471 This project represents the first phase of a multi-phase Estates Strategy for upgrading the Chadwell Heath campus. It involves the creation of 2,405m2 of new 21st century general purpose accommodation and a community arts centre. The new specialist Creative Arts Centre Ôthe CubeÕ will provide a new public face to the College whilst promoting and enhancing its reputation within the communities it serves, meeting the needs of local learners, employers and the wider region. The new facilities will enable the removal of all condition category ÔDÕ accommodation, enabling the College to consolidate onto a single site creating operational efficiencies and supporting phase 2 of the Estates Strategy. 
The College learners will benefit from new 21st Century teaching accommodation; an expanded curriculum offer in areas such as sales, retail, dentistry, local HE provision and teacher education in line with the priorities of the LEP and Job Centre; increase the learner numbers to address local and regional priorities.
Runshaw College £5,000,000 The project will demolish two condition C buildings and replace them with industry standard training facilities for Engineering and Science and will also allow dedicated resources for a centre for Employability. It will provide improved efficiency and space utilisation.  The project aligns to the Lancashire LEP strategy to meet the growth in engineers in Lancashire particularly at technician level. Overall youth and adult learners will increase by 250 and Apprenticeships by 60 learners.
Sheffield College (The) £15,580,000 This project will create three Centres for Excellence on two sites which are designed to support the City RegionÕs drive for growth in; Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, Sustainable Development, and Creative and Digital Industries.  This will reduce the estate to four campuses improving accessibility, catchment areas and quality.  The sectors are aligned with the LEP priorities to drive growth in the City Region, fully engaging with employers and providing world-class skills delivery in a state of the art vocational facility.  The project will stimulate additional jobs, create new apprenticeships, and provide new pathways for those entering the labour market and up-skilling the existing workforce.
Tresham College of Further and Higher Education £16,289,458 Tresham College is a medium sized general FE and HE College in north Northamptonshire serving the communities of Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough and Silverstone.  In recent years its campuses at Kettering (in 2007) and Corby (in 2011) have been redeveloped. This proposal will feature the complete demolition of the existing sub-standard Wellingborough campus (8,584m²) followed by the construction of fit-for-purpose efficient accommodation (6,000m²) over three storeys on the existing site. While the existing site delivers key courses for the Wellingborough area, the accommodation itself is tired and has poor access and security. The proposed redevelopment of the campus will provide a much improved learner experience for students in that locality.
Worthing College £2,516,400 This investment will enable the college to complete works not previously affordable under ERG3 and will remove the final 1,012m2 of inoperable Category D accommodation.  The college will significantly enhance its 7 science laboratories and higher facility specifications in 8 learning zones and the library will revitalise the collegeÕs teaching, learning and assessment facilities with a specific focus on technical and entrepreneurial skills enabling it to support the LEPÕs ambitions to build local Òskills escalatorsÓ with local provision nurturing local talent.
