Bishop Burton College £10,558,869 The project will replace the current campus of Riseholme and will see the construction of a new specialist land-based campus. This will incorporate state-of-the-art specialist teaching accommodation including classrooms, science labs, animal management facility and agricultural, engineering and arboriculture workshops, learning resources centre, refectory and facilities for administration, student services and staff, the site includes residential accommodation for students. This is the start of a strategy to develop brand new industry standard campus for land based provision which will eventually encompass enhanced equine and farm enterprise facilities. The development ensures that future learners - and employers - have the skills and training necessary to boost the rural economy of Lincolnshire.
Blackburn College £5,420,862 This project will create a Centre of Excellence for Sport. This will allow the college to deliver new curriculum areas in line with employer needs, including Apprenticeships and Higher Level Apprenticeships and promote sport as a valued career path and progression route to higher education and employment. The project is also in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority who will develop the wet sports facilities. The projects aims to increase 16-18 learners by 382 (including engaging with NEET and LLDD learners) and will increase youth and adult Apprenticeships by 85.
Blackpool and Fylde College £10,274,000 This project will replace outdated poor accommodation and provide two new buildings. The first of which will be for the creation of a purpose built Advanced Technology Centre offering engineering, advanced manufacturing and low carbon digital technologies. The second will be for an extension to the Construction Skills Centre for the delivery of construction and renewable technologies. Between them they will provide (4,300m2 ) to a BREEAM ÔexcellentÕ standard. This will allow 16-18 learners to grow by 150 and Apprentices to growth by 110 and will also support an additional 100 HE learners.
Brooklands College £16,338,870 This investment will see the removal of 6,523m2 Category D buildings and the complete replacement of accommodation at the Ashford Campus. In direct response to LEP priorities and local skills demands the project will create industry standard, flexible teaching accommodation for construction skills, business enterprise and IT, travel & tourism, retail and commercial services, health & childcare, Skills for Life and a new sports hall and will directly enhance the learning experience of 1,300 learners, 600 of whom will be 16-18. 
Canterbury College £9,290,400 The project is the final stage of the college campus re-development and entails the renewal of facilities removing category C and D accommodation. The new accommodation will include a business centre, new sports centre, classrooms and an art block. The proposal will provide specialist facilities, bring together public services and sports and leisure facilities, and will enable curriculum rationalisation that will raise the quality of learning. The proposal will support NEET and unemployed individuals and also expand Apprenticeships.
Capel Manor College £3,646,489 This project entails the construction of two new buildings for Animal and Arboriculture. The current animal care and Arboriculture curriculum areas are located within a series of category D buildings across the Enfield campuses. Existing facilities are a collection of temporary Portakabin structures and timber sheds, all of which are to be removed from the academic estate. This development will increase the College capacity to deliver land based provision, traineeships and level 4 provision. Overall the project will help support an increase of 587 youth and adult learners and 103 apprenticeships.
Chesterfield College £5,200,000 The project builds upon work which the College has recently completed to further develop the campus through the creation of a new construction trades centre , the demolition of the current unsuitable and poor quality East Block 1 workshop and refurbishment of the West Block with landscaping work to improve access for pedestrians. The project will create a new Construction Centre and Creative Industries Hub increasing opportunities in the Advanced Technology and Creative and Digital Industries sectors specifically Construction, Visual, Performing Arts, Design, Fashion and Textiles. The Hub will enable the College to meet skills needs in key priority sectors and support the important Northern Gateway and Waterside Developments in the locality. 
College of West Anglia £5,484,525 This project at Wisbech provides for the internal refurbishment of A Block along with the creation of a new Teaching Centre to house Uniformed Services, Health and Social Care, Hair & Beauty, a mix of state of the art IT suites and general purpose classrooms. It will also house the CollegeÕs LLDD, NEET and ESOL provision. New staff office space will also be created. D Block will be refurbished to house the Construction curriculum. C, E & F Blocks and G14 will be demolished as they are no longer fit for purpose in a modern Further Education establishment as they fail to provide suitable learning environments. Overall youth and adult learners will increase by 551 and Apprenticeships by 65 learners.
Craven College £6,192,000 The project will provide modernised and refurbished accommodation. This will include new workshop accommodation at the Aireville Campus for construction and engineering provision, fitness suite and sports laboratory for Sports Fitness and Public Service provision. Refurbishment of the Whernside building will provide innovative flexible teaching space and enhanced student support services. The renovation of Ingleborough building will improve its energy efficiency and teaching environment. The project will enable the college to support growth in apprenticeships and key growth sectors. The project will enable the college to contribute to tackling youth unemployment, support local business skills needs and improve the quality of teaching and learning.
East Kent College £10,699,000 The project involves the modernisation and replacement of facilities. The project will address the buildings in the worst condition, removing all category D space (currently 18% of the estate). In doing so an inoperable listed building will be renovated into an innovative dynamic training centre and two further buildings upgraded to enable the delivery of high quality provision in a stimulating environment across six key vocational sectors. The project will tackle employment and skills challenges in the area, supporting reductions in NEET and unemployment, and providing growth in business start-ups and Apprenticeships.
Mid Kent College £17,100,000 The proposal is phase 2 of a £35 million project providing a modern, flexible and versatile FE Estate in Kent. Phase 2 entails rationalisation of the estate, addressing poor condition facilities, including demolition of some category C premises. The project is designed to address regional economic growth priorities and raise the aspirations and achievement of learners. The new centre will focus on raising participation at level 3 and progression to employment and Higher Education.
New College Nottingham £27,000,000 The project will redevelop the Basford Hall campus and relocate the Bath Street campus which are unsuitable and in poor condition. The project will benefit over 5,000 learners (4214 existing and 1683 new learners).The project will enable the College to refocus its construction offer to ensure that it provides industry targeted teaching and learning designed to meet City, employer and LEP priorities. Increased opportunities in Engineering, Manufacturing and Science will also be provided through these developments. The project will allow the College to improve its offer to learners with learning difficulties and disabilities and those undertaking Higher Education. A community engagement hub which will offer flexible and progressive community learning and pre employment skills is also provided.
North Herts College £6,000,000 This project will deliver greatly enhanced facilities and training opportunities, enabling students to gain the skills they need to succeed in the Creative Arts - a significant employment sector within Hertfordshire. New facilities will deliver an improved learning experience which will be reflected in outstanding levels of student attainment. Graduates of this experience will be highly sought after by employers in the region and beyond, and inspire continued growth in the Creative Arts. The project supports the agenda of the local LEP, Letchworth Heritage Foundation (LHF) and the National Skills Academy; and will establish a regional hub for the Creative Arts. Overall youth and adult learners will increase by 177 and Apprenticeships by 211 learners.
North Lindsey College £12,210,444 The project will provide a new modern and refurbished STEM Centre and new Engineering Centre for excellence and Creative Digital facilities. This will create new classrooms and flexible learning areas which will provide modern facilities and state-of-the-art industry standard equipment and technology for the benefit of the learners. The new facilities will address local skills shortages and provide new opportunities in the expanding renewable industries including; Engineering, Fabrication and Welding and Creative Digital. The new facilities at North Lindsey College will enable and inspire learners to gain skills in the sectors which will drive the economy of the local area and contribute to a robust and financially secure and sustainable future for North Lincolnshire.
Oaklands College £5,320,465 The Project comprises the first phase of the Welwyn Garden City campus redevelopment works and includes extension and refurbishment to create a new Learning Resource Centre, enhanced Engineering provision and the relocation of Performing Arts into a refurbished area. This investment will improve condition and provide fully accessible, functionally suitable and adequate accommodation to meet changing curriculum needs and increasing demand and address the LEPÕs priorities. The accommodation is tired and outdated and will be replaced by a state of the art learning environment. Overall youth and adult learners will increase by 192 and Apprenticeships by 71 learners.
Oldham College £6,000,000 The project (Building C) delivers a new, 2500m2 building which will improve the quality and flexibility of College accommodation in curriculum areas that are growth sectors in the local economy, re-housing the CollegeÕs classroom based Sports, Uniformed Public Service and Travel and Tourism curriculum and Hair and Beauty provision. The project will include commercial hair and beauty salons and 17 classrooms used flexibly for technical/vocational learning and functional skills.
Petroc £10,800,000 PETROC was formed in 2008 when North Devon College and East Devon College merged. This project will benefit the area by creating inspiring, industry-standard real working environments for engineering, hairdressing, beauty therapy, and hospitality learners. It will replace a significant amount of poor or inadequate accommodation and provide a new 1,075m2 building for engineering to meet the growing local demand for engineering training. It will include high-tech CAD facilities, electronics design and assembly, a fabrication and welding workshop, CNC and manual machining and a bench fitting workshop. In addition the project will provide a new 3,125m2 ÔLifestyle BuildingÕ for the hospitality, hair and beauty provision. 
Preston College £12,885,000 This project is for a state-of -the -art new building for multi-disciplinary learning through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). It will be cited at the front of the College and designed to enhance the CollegeÕs main entrance, in order to signal STEMÕs importance, raise overall perception and increase learner ambition. The project will remove 7,303m2 of poor condition estate. The project has the full support of Lancashire LEP and will also form part of a Ôhub and spokeÕ arrangements with BAE Systems who are leading on the development of an Enterprise Zone for Adv Engineering and manufacturing. Overall the project will increase youth and adult learners by 200 and create 150 new Apprenticeships opportunities.
Reaseheath College £7,782,480 The project delivers the construction of a National Centre for Food Futures and Sustainable Environments to combine all aspects of primary food production, alternative energy technologies, amenity horticulture, design and land environmental management, with provision for a range of specialist and general teaching areas. 3,326m2 of new accommodation will be built together with the refurbishment of 1,132 m2 and 6,272m2 poor quality accommodation will be vacated or demolished. Project has full and direct support of Cheshire and Warrington LEP.
Riverside College £3,600,000 This project will remodel and refurbish the Engineering and Construction provision. It will allow the college to consolidate all provision onto one site, increasing workshop space and offering industry standard facilities. It will enable the College to introduce new curriculum areas including, gas commercial testing, electrical installation, plumbing, plastering, high integrity welding, logistics and low carbon advanced design. The project aims to increase youth and adult learners by 208 and Apprenticeships by 100 and also introduce 50 places on L4/5 Higher Engineering provision.
South Thames College £4,170,000 The College owns a large Tower building at Wandsworth (6649m2) which houses the construction and building services curriculum .The building is of poor condition and totally unsuitable. The College intends to dispose of the building and surrounding site and create new construction and building services engineering accommodation in a 1500m2 extension to the Technology Block on the Merton Campus .The building will provide open plan flexible workshops to support the development and diversification of the curriculum. The project will also enable the demolition of the remaining temporary accommodation on the Merton campus. It will enable the College to increase the number of students with learning difficulties. Overall the project will help support an increase of 75 youth and adult learners and 65 apprenticeships.
South Tyneside College £3,576,390 This project will continue the refurbishment of the collegeÕs main campus, refurbishing and remodelling 3000m2 of the college estate. The project has an emphasis on the collegeÕs Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre as well as expanding the Marine Simulator facilities by the addition of 200m2 of new build. The project will reconfigure space enabling expansion in Construction, Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering by concentrating these associated teaching areas in one part of the campus. The new facilities will allow 16 -18 Apprenticeships to grow by 90+ primarily at Level 3.
Sparsholt College £5,988,000 This project will remove 507m² of category C/D buildings, provide a new workshop building of approximately 1,800m², refurbish approximately 1600m² of existing workshop and teaching space and rationalise classroom and student support, meaning all buildings at the Andover campus will be at least category B. Key facilities include a new engineering and construction workshop; refurbishment of existing workshop areas to create a new front of house student services and refectory area; improvements to building infrastructure to improve energy efficiency and building performance as well as enhanced access for learners with mobility issues.
Stanmore College £3,047,544 The project entails the removal of old Portakabins making way for a new three storey traditionally constructed building. The new building will dramatically improve energy and running costs, creating a much improved environment for learners. The new facility located to the west of the College site and forming part of an ongoing cycle of renewing old assets will create 470m2 of new accommodation featuring 8 classrooms, fitness suite and male and female changing rooms. In addition the project also realises the refurbishment of 556m2 of the existing estate. The project will create more opportunities for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities and allow the College to commence new programmes in science and engineering supporting local employers, apprentices and the LEP growth targets.
Stoke-on-Trent College £10,500,000 The project delivers a new 3,600m2 building at the collegeÕs Burslem Campus, consolidating poor Construction and Engineering facilities into a state of the art Advanced Manufacturing and STEM centre. The project enables 4,900 m2 of poor quality and/or leased accommodation to be removed. Project is directly aligned to Stoke and Staffordshire LEPÕs priority sectors, notably advanced manufacturing, as set out in recent City Deal proposal. Project will deliver an additional 800 learners including significant growth in apprenticeships and traineeships, and will enable significant improvements in quality across a range of impact measures.
Tameside College £21,479,368 The project delivers a new 3,500m2 Advanced Engineering Centre at Beaufort Road campus, enabling the demolition of 1,666m2 existing accommodation. The project also delivers a new 4,500m2 Advanced Learning, Creative and Performing Arts Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne. The project is underpinned by very significant estate rationalisation of 9,844m2 by the sale of Hyde Clarendon Campus and the Stockport Road site together with the vacation of two leased properties. The project will enable an additional 251 learners, including 95 apprentices.
Telford College of Arts and Technology £8,949,137 This project includes the construction of a new 1,247m2 Motor Vehicle teaching workshop with classroom accommodation, refurbishment of existing accommodation for general teaching, construction of new two storey teaching block 1,418m2 incorporating a new 14-16 centre and the removal/disposal of 2 further blocks of poor quality accommodation. The curriculum areas benefiting from the development are Health & Social Care, Engineering, Construction, Automotive and Employability and will support and additional 2,700 learners including 1200 apprentices.
Uxbridge College £6,243,120 The project will create a prominent new three storey naturally ventilated 2,287m2 teaching block, providing 12 rooms on the upper levels and an open flexible space at the ground floor to accommodate one of the collegeÕs flagship services to the business community. It will present an innovative 564m2 public face to the college, and remodels and refurbishes 621m2 of existing art accommodation into a new build to create additional studios, workshops, business hubs and open access areas. The project will support further development of provision at level 3 and above in STEM and creative industry areas. It aligns fully with both Hillingdon Council and London LEPs aspirations for education and skills within the locality.
Walsall College £10,936,858 This project is to provide a 3,669m2 new-build three-storey building adjacent to its main Wisemore campus comprising two elements; a Sports Hub (2,384m2) and a Business Hub (1,285m2). The Walsall Business and Sports Hub combine a high quality business hub for business incubation and Small to Medium Enterprises and a College sports facility. The curriculum that will be supported by the project are Services to People, Health and Public Services, Foundation Learning and Achieving Together, and includes cross-college enrichment for the whole College and the wider public.
Westminster Kingsway £18,000,000 This is the second of three phases to complete the delivery of WKCÕs estates strategy. It modernises facilities (+8,502m2) and expands capacity (+646m2) at the Victoria and Soho Centres to create: a more flexible teaching space that responds to changing customer needs; It will provide a new enterprise hub to deliver progressive study programmes, specialist facilities to address skills gaps and growth opportunities, particularly in the Hospitality sector. The project will enable an expansion of recruitment to a wider course portfolio with clear progression routes into employment. Overall the impact of the project will help increase youth and adult learners by 766 and apprenticeships by 170.
Wigan and Leigh College £17,800,016 The project enables the college to demolish its existing, inflexible 1950s Schools for the Arts Building (6,645m2) and replace it with state of the art, efficient purpose built facilities (3,500m2). The project also enables the refurbishment of the remainder of the collegeÕs Main Building and Tower Block (2,619m2) and to provide over-cladding of all elevations of the Main Building and Tower Block (5,429m2), benefitting areas within the building that have been previously refurbished internally. Cumulative effect of the refurbishment would mean that the whole of the Main Building and Tower Block (7,678m2) would move from condition ÔCÕ to ÔBÕ. Project will provide significant benefits to learners with considerable associated improvements to quality.
Wiltshire College £21,200,000 This project will completely redevelop Wiltshire CollegeÕs existing campus at Chippenham; consisting of 9,100m2 new purpose built teaching and learning facilities. It will provide inspiring, industry standard facilities in Construction, engineering and motor vehicle workshops, IT classrooms, LDD skills & sensory rooms, Music, Media and Art studios, Sports science lab, Hair and beauty salons together with multifunctional teaching rooms and learner support facilities. Overall impact of the project will increase new learners by 270, including the offer of 80 new apprenticeships in the first year. Additional to this, a further 32 higher apprenticeships will be on offer by 2017/18. The project aligns with LEP priorities through growing apprenticeships, reducing unemployment and through increasing higher education and vocational learning pathways and opportunities.
