The consortium has reached financial close with Nottingham City Council to provide new buildings and refurbish existing accommodation.
The school was caught up in the Government’s Building Schools for the Future review but was far enough advanced to get the go-ahead with a 4% cut in Government grant.
Existing temporary accommodation will be replaced and rundown old buildings demolished and rebuilt to provide a performing arts space and general teaching classrooms.
Mark Harding, General Manager of Nottingham’s Local Education Partnership, said: “This scheme is the fourteenth to reach financial close in just under three years and demonstrates the success of Nottingham’s LEP and its ability to work with stakeholders and deliver schemes that meet and exceed expectations, deliver on time and within budget.”
