Kier is also working with Gosport Borough Council in a 10-year agreement providing mechanical and engineering repairs and gas services for tenants, in addition to responsive repairs to 5,000 homes. The contract, worth £5.6m annually, has the potential to extend by five years.
The 5-year contract with Ealing Council, which has an annual value of £4m, covers communal and responsive repairs for around 9,000 residential homes in the London Borough.
In the north, Richmondshire District Council has signed Kier up for a four-year maintenance package worth £6.4m starting from September.
Kier managing director for maintenance, Peter Brynes, said: “There has been a lot of uncertainty and disruption in the building maintenance sector over the last 12 months and the fact that Kier is able to deliver a reliable, high volume service built on solid foundations is proving an attractive proposition to many clients.”
The jobs mean Kier will maintain a total of more than 240,000 homes across the UK and carry out over half a million repairs.
