Cowlard will be responsible for growing EC Harris’s revenues in the rail sector, with a particular focus on the UK, Asia and the Middle East.

His appointment is another significant investment for EC Harris in rail after taking on Richard Bowker as senior advisor earlier this year.

During his 10 years at Atkins, Cowlard worked as the group commercial director for the rail business before becoming managing director of Rail Solutions in 2010.

Prior to this he held senior development management and supply chain roles at the Dixons Stores Group and the Mobil Oil Company.
