The deal also sees Atlas Copco awarded sole supplier status on compressors for the next two years with GAP.
Around 70% of GAP hires come from national accounts so the compressors will be crucial in supporting national customers.
Ken Stewart, Group Procurement Manager at GAP said: “Atlas Copco have the best commercial package, a strong global brand name and good national aftersales network.
“The compressors themselves are robust, reliable and have low costs of ownership.
“The relationship that we have with Atlas Copco has been key in making this decision. We have enjoyed a long standing working relationship in which they have been very receptive and responsive.”
John Fitzpatrick, Construction Technique Business Line Manager at Atlas Copco said: “This deal represents the significant benefits that our compressors have in the hire industry.
“They offer great value and outstanding return on capital employed. They are so hard wearing and reliable with great aftersales care there’s next to no downtime for hirers.”
