Mansell bags £16m Matlock care centre projects

Mansell Construction has won the job to design and build two community care centres in Matlock, Derbyshire.

The centres in Heanor and Darley Dale will each cost around £8m to build and have already been awarded planning permission, allowing work to get underway shortly.

Each of the new specialist community care centres will provide 16 long-term residential care beds for older people, 16 short-term residential beds offering respite care and rehabilitation.

The development of the specialist community care centres forms part of our Derbyshire County Council’s £200m investment plans to transform residential and community care with modern, purpose-built accommodation for older people.
