According to information specialist Glenigan the three heavyweight contractors are due to submit bids shortly ahead of a planned project start date in February.
The 1 New Street Square project will see 300,000sq ft of office space together with new restaurants and shops built on the site of the International Press Centre on Shoe Lane.
The project involves building two flat iron or wedged-shaped interlinked buildings rising to 16 and 14 storeys.
Land Securities has been designed the building to achieve BREEAM rating of Very Good.
AECOM is on board as mechanical and electrical consultant, with Waterman acting as structural consultant in the Mid-town job.
