The contractor has not named the victim to comply with the wishes of his family.
But the police confirmed Kevin Campbell, 46, from Poplar was killed on the site on Sunday March 2.
It is believed he was struck by a piece of machinery attached to an excavator.
Clancy said in an update: “Further to the recent notification of a fatality on the DLR site at Stratford we are now able to provide some additional clarification related to the incident.
“The deceased person was Lead Supervisor during piling operations on the site, when the injury leading to his death occurred.
“He had been part of the Clancy team for over twenty years. We will publish full details of the funeral arrangements as and when these become available.
“The site remains partly under the control of the HSE whilst they continue to undertake various checks and inspections, in order to progress with their investigation.
“We again offer our sincerest condolences and remain in close contact with the family.”
The victim of last week’s fatality at Crossrail was also named by police today as Slovakian national Rene Tkacik who was 43.
