Allen, 48, joined the dealership four years ago as chief financial officer having previously worked within Volvo CE’s European sales and marketing side.
At the end of 2013, he took on the role of interim managing director for the division replacing Val Ledden who was promoted within the group.
He has over 20 years experience working in a variety of senior management roles with responsibilities for the UK, Europe and North America.
Allen said: “This is a challenging new role in what is an extremely important market for Volvo CE.
“I am excited by the prospect of leading the organisation and equally I am really looking forward to interacting with our customers so that we can continue to support them in fulfilling their ambitions.”
Volvo Construction Equipment Division markets wheeled loaders, articulated haulers, hydraulic excavators, graders, Volvo utility equipment and Volvo road machinery products in the U.K.
Its eight customer support centres located at Stirling, Immingham, Warrington, Birmingham, Treforest, Woking, Duxford and Newcastle.
