Peasland worked for Balfour Beatty from 1970 until his retirement last December.
During that time has was general manager of Balfour Beatty Building in Scotland, managing director of Balfour Kilpatrick, managing director of Mansell, group managing director for building and building services.
He will be joined on the board by Ken Reid, a civil engineer who worked at Kier before joining Bilfinger Berger in 1990, working internationally with the company on many large scale projects.
Reid was was appointed managing director of its worldwide concessions and PPP business back in 2000.
In 2007 he was appointed to Bilfinger’s main executive board, where he had direct responsibility for the group’s global activities in civil engineering , services and concessions and project investments.
