The project to build a primary and secondary school on the land adjacent to an existing High School is the first scheme to be secured through £270m North Wales Schools and Public Buildings Contractor Framework.
Around 15 projects are expected to be delivered through the four-year framework.
Miller was appointed to each of the Framework lots including: projects from £4.35m – £7.5m, £7.5-£15m and sits with Kier and Balfour Beatty as the three contractors appointed to deliver high value projects exceeding £15m.
The two new schools will be constructed on land at the top of the existing school playing field to prevent the current High School being disrupted.
The single storey primary school will offer 315 pupil places and replace current local infants and junior schools. The three story secondary school will offer 600 places and replace the existing High School on this site.
Ian Jubb, Managing Director, Miller Construction, said: “We now look forward to working with all the participating stakeholders on the project and to building lasting relationships with these schools and the communities they will serve.”
