Both firms swept the board winning places on all six regional framework panels, followed by Bowmer & Kirkland, which won a seat in every region except the south west.
Despite several regional and local contractors bidding for places the line-up of 16 winners is limited to largely national contractors.
Smaller players like Clugston, Cruden, R G Carter, Clegg, Osborne and Speller Metcalfe failed to make the cut. But there was also disappointment for Morgan Sindall and established schools builder Wates, which also failed to secure a region despite multiple bids.

The new regional schools framework covers repairs and remodelling projects worth £3m-£7m.
Works will include asbestos removal and window replacement upgrades as well as an element of new build.
An estimated £5bn worth of work could be put through the schools upgrade regional framework, although councils will be free to use their own procurement routes.
The new framework is due to start on Monday 7 July.
