The development will see the city’s suburb of Seacroft undergo a vast redevelopment of around 700 new homes.
Keepmoat and Strata are set to begin construction work on the £120m project in late 2015.
The properties, which will be on the open market as well as available to purchase on the Government’s Help to Buy Scheme, will be a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes.
The Seacroft development will play an integral part in both companies’ plans to further expand into West Yorkshire in 2015 and beyond.
Mark Knight, regional managing director for Keepmoat Homes Yorkshire said: “This momentous win for Keepmoat in West Yorkshire emphasises the strength of our house building and regeneration offerings.”
Keepmoat and Strata are working together on several projects including the £250m Dominion development on Woodfield Way, Doncaster, which is also on HCA land.
The first phase of the project is close to completion and includes 205 new homes.
They are working with Home Group and Hull City Council to build over 4000 new homes across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
