Pollard told the Enquirer this morning that he is “handing over and moving on” now it is “job done” at Balfour.
He is being replaced by Dean Banks who becomes new Managing Director, UK Construction Services.
Banks joined Balfour recently from commercial security and paper maker specialist De La Rue where he was managing director of Cash Processing Solutions.
He joined Balfour initially as Chief Operating Officer for the regional and engineering services businesses.
Pollard’s role at Balfour was changed earlier this year to focus on the problem regional construction operations and M&E business.
His direct responsibility for the major projects division was transferred to group chief executive Leo Quinn.
Pollard joined Balfour as CEO in June 2013 and has also been CEO of Lend Lease and an executive vice president at Skanska.
