Anglian Water, Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent Water and Southern Water have all awarded Barhale long term deals on 5 to 15 year frameworks.
Barhale Managing Director Andy Flowerday said: “The majority of Barhale’s works are repeat business, with a focus on long-term partnerships and collaboration which has created a mutually beneficial situation for Barhale and its clients”.
Barhale is also collaborating with, and supporting, both the Thames Water Eight20 AMP6 Alliance across various programme areas, and the Thames Tideway Tunnel team and their supply chain.
Through early contractor involvement for enabling and tunnelling works on the TTT project, the company is expecting a significant volume of work for multi-utility diversions and specialist tunnelling along the Tideway route, over the next few years.
Other long term works Barhale is engaged on include a 5 year framework for Network Rail to manufacture and erect footbridges, providing a steady flow of steel fabrication work for Barhale’s BCS subsidiary.
The firm is also working on a £62m contract for Severn Trent Water to deliver three tunneling projects at Bleddfa, Ffrydd Wood, Nantmel and one pipeline project on the Elan Valley Aqueduct.
Barhale has joined forces with The Response Group from Ireland and formed a new company called Barhale-Response to focus on the design, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical and ICA services throughout the UK.
