The Talbot Mill in Castlefield will be turned into 200 flats in a £50m scheme put together by the specialist warehouse redevelopment firm.

Designed by ShedKM, the 1750,000 sq ft scheme will see the historic textile mill on Ellesmere Street and a shared courtyard area transformed.

Capital & Centric bought the mill in October last year for £5m.

Tim Heatley, co-founder of Capital & Centric, said: “Talbot is a stunning example of Manchester’s industrial heritage – something the city is quite rightly proud of. Our plans build on the structure’s inherent beauty and create a neighbourhood centred on a shared courtyard garden.
