Buckingham set for £25m Ellesmere cardboard factory

Buckingham Group is set for a £25m-plus contract to deliver phase one of Peel Investments planned industrial hub at Ellesmere Port on Merseyside.

According to information specialist Glenigan, Buckingham Group has secured the job to deliver premises for a corrugated cardboard mega plant and warehouse facility at South Road.

Designed by UMC Architects the new manufacturing plant for producer Prowel will be located next to junction 10 of the M53.

A total of £65m is to be invested in the plant which will produce up to 235,000 tonnes per year of corrugated board sheets.
