Police make first arrest in Grenfell investigation

The Metropolitan Police have made their first arrest during the Grenfell Tower fire investigation.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on Saturday in the Sussex area on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

He was taken to a local police station and has since been released under investigation.

Police said the arrest was not made in relation to the events heard at the ongoing Grenfell Tower Inquiry last week.
