Its sister company OEP Building Services went into administration in 2021 owing 135 suppliers £1.7m.
OEP UK bought OEP Building Services in a pre-pack sale for £85,000 led by managing director Iain Crabtree.
Since the deal was finalised OEP UK has won a series of pod supply deals with major contractors and developer.
Construction data specialist Red Flag Alert estimates the company has a turnover of around £5.8m.
Companies House records show Crabtree was a director of a number of dissolved modular firms including Offsite Engineered Panels UK Ltd and OEP Partnership LLP.
One major funder of modular-reliant schemes told the Enquirer that this latest administration intensified the spotlight on the sector.
He said: “We’re seeing increased scrutiny across the sector, particularly around quality, compliance and traceability.
“From a funding perspective, construction is now about managing long-term risk. These are assets held for decades—certainty is critical.
“That comes down to the supply chain. Safety, consistency, proven delivery and full traceability are non-negotiable. Where those aren’t present, risk isn’t removed—it’s simply pushed further down the line.”
