Craig Message has joined Kier Infrastructure as commercial director after nearly 15 years rising through the ranks at Costain, where he most recently served as water sector commercial director.

His move brings heavyweight major project experience, including a long stint on the Thames Tideway scheme through the CVB joint venture, where he progressed to commercial director.

The hire strengthens Kier’s commercial firepower across its infrastructure business as contractors continue to prioritise tight cost control and risk management on major schemes.

Messenger’s career tracks a steady climb from apprentice quantity surveyor in 2011 through to senior leadership roles at Costain.
