Project Wellesley, part of our Defence portfolio involves two major projects for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), one of which is the development of a new community – Mindenhurst Village to replace the Princess Royal Barracks at Deepcut in Surrey.
As development manager for Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Skanska we will transform the existing site into a new community – called Mindenhurst Village. We are helping the Defence Infrastructure Organisation by maximising the value of its land in a completely collaborative partnership.
In the role of Land Manager you will be an integral part of the land team providing support advice on all aspects of land disposal related to the development. To be responsible for co-ordination of consultants to achieve maximised and successful land disposal within the prescribed timescales and expected value.
Be responsible for the appointment and management of selective external consultants required to add value to the development.
Have responsibility for agreeing scope with the development team and negotiating the most competitive rates working within the agreed budget.
Research and advise the Development Lead on approach to parcelling land or masterplans options to maximise opportunity regarding development optimisation and the likelihood.
Analyse risk of differing options with respect to achieving planning permission.
Manage the land sale process, negotiating with land purchasers, co-ordinate the legal agreements, liaise with landowner, residents and/or LA members if necessary.
Ensure compliance with S106 requirements, support the discharge of planning conditions and work with the Marketing consultants to achieve planning consent for site signage.
We’re Looking For:
Demonstrable Experience on land appraisal models.
Experience and ability to manage external consultant team and ensure all deadlines are met
Good strong knowledge of the full planning process.
Previous experience as a Land Manager and/or Development Manager within house builder
Ability to work within tight deadlines and to programme accurately
Excellent verbal communication skills
Competent with all MS Office
