Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) are looking for a Lead Design Engineer to deliver a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects on our Thames Water Framework.
MMB continue to successfully deliver our AMP 7 projects and are preparing to move into AMP8 delivery with Thames Water. We are looking for a design lead with the knowledge, experience, and drive to take this key delivery area forward.
As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be accountable for the delivery of design for a programme of wastewater and clean water infrastructure projects through detailed design to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will also work closely with the client to provide ECI support in the solution development and outline design phase of their delivery process. You will be responsible for developing your team of Project Leaders and other discipline engineers. You will identify and mitigate resource constraints to enable project teams to complete the design to programme and within budget.

Your responsibilities:
- Embed a positive and honest environment for your team where everyone is challenged and encouraged to reach their potential.
- Analyse project performance and identify risks that may impact project delivery. Develop mitigation to avoid negative impacts or exploit opportunities.
- Provide direction, oversight of project controls, and ensure your teams understand and comply with quality, programme, and cost requirements.
- Ensure the client’s Asset Standards are applied correctly to the projects whilst driving efficiencies through challenging and promoting the good practice from other areas of the business.
- Work closely with the client’s Engineers to ensure we remain a trusted partner to deliver our target project portfolio.

- Experience in water or wastewater pipeline design
- Outline and detailed design experience and knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
