About the role:
We're looking for a Lead Risk Engineer to join our gas construction team to manage and develop project risk profiles and be accountable for the development of the risk strategy and methodology. You'll work with project teams to establish the project scope and identify gaps in the available information that's essential for project cost estimation and risk.
You'll challenge the available detail and obtain the relevant missing information to develop the assumptions, track progress and manage the relevant governance reviews and sign-offs.
This position will report directly to the Senior Risk Engineer. You'll undertake risk workshops for gas projects and update processes and procedures for risk. Interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role as you'll be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office working in Warwick and home working. You'll need to be able to travel into the Warwick office approx. 2-3 times a week.
What we're looking for:
Essential -
- Risk experience (ideally in the utilities industry)
- Ability to interpret technical and cost information
- Full UK car driving licence
