What is the job:
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing all activities and supply-chain partners to ensure that H&S, environmental, procurement, financial control and site activities are managed to the highest standards in all areas of delivery. The role will also include both upward and downward reporting within OnSite and the client at all times providing clear and precise direction. They will liaise with clients to ensure their expectations and service levels agreements are achieved. The role of the Operations Supervisor will primary focus on OnSite’s business requirements to ensure delivery of projects are carried out to the most efficient process, sustainable projects through build and procurement, client and stakeholder satisfaction while proactively encouraging challenge to the delivery team by securing efficient design and build techniques to enable these.
The successful applicant will:
- Understand the Contractual obligations to be met by OnSite under contract, in particular the deadlines to be met and Level of Service standards for each project. Provide support as appropriate to the other Team members in fully meeting their responsibilities in the contract delivery process
- Ownership of the project, costs, programme, documentation, site activities, procurement and assist with the planning and coordination of the site teams
- Manage daily costs in terms of on/off hire arrangements & controlling of hours worked by operatives as well as managing overtime for the team
- Produce safe and efficient sites by conducting daily and weekly site briefings and toolbox talks, communicating method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work with all site teams and visitors ensuring adherence and compliance;
- conduct weekly audits of site teams and help to resolve any defects that arise within the site team installations
- Bring innovative ideas
- Have a full driving licence
- Have experience in the use of Microsoft Office programmes
- There may also be a requirement to take part in a standby rota
- Understanding and application of NRSWA Permits/Notices and Traffic Management Applications
- Understanding of NRSWA FPNs, Defects and S74’s
- Be able to raise, start, stop and close down with R1 measure permits and notices
