K Rouse Civil Engineers Ltd are looking for a planner/programmer for ongoing civils works in Billingham. The successful candidates roles and responsibilities will include:
- Manage Project and Programme schedules to an appropriate level ensuring key milestones, activities and resource requirements are defined and understood, dependencies and conflicts are identified and flagged for resolution by the PM teams.
- Ensure regular updating and refining of schedules to provide an up-to-date view and incorporate changes arising from Programme review, to mitigate risk etc. Ensure documented audit trail.
- Produce the Programme schedule progress report for review with the Programme Manager and project management team.
- Generate schedule reports at the required frequency and review & address variances with appropriate Programme team members.
- Input to relevant Programme control documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy of all Programme schedule documentation, where necessary amending, editing and consolidating documentation to ensure clarity and professional presentation.
- Managing the processing of schedule documentation to ensure high standards of reliability, security, visibility, availability, and version control are maintained.
- Assess, identify, and report on the impacts of potential and actual changes to the project, including resources, costs, and durations.
- Troubleshooting, assessment, presentation, recommendations, and action follow up related to planning of risks, issues, and recovery planning.
- Make recommendations for updates to schedule for recovery programmes.
- Incorporate resources into schedules for budgets, expenditure, and resource analysis.
- Integrate project schedules, progress measurements and reports from Sub-contractors / Vendors.
- Prepare periodic reports on the status of the project, and look ahead schedules the next period, using information from site visits and information received from the Project Manager.
- Support the Projects Director and Programme Manager to report on the overall resource availability for the Company and maintain an overall, integrated Resource Plan.
A civils background is necessary, the role is full time and site based and candidates will need the following:
- NVQ Level 3 or ONC qualification (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge in computer planning software Primavera P6.
- Demonstrable experience in the construction industry is essential.
- Proven ability of reviewing and identifying of risk in plan and monitoring different risk factors.
- Proven ability in very detailed planning executed in a short time.
- In depth knowledge of SAP and PV and schedule risk analysis tools and processes.
- Ability to focus on results and willingly tackle problems or conflicts which threaten their achievement.
