The Role

We are seeking a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working on brickwork and masonry packages across a range of construction projects. This role will involve managing the commercial aspects of projects from tender stage through to final account, working closely with site teams, clients, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and submission of valuations and applications for payment
• Cost management of brickwork packages across multiple projects
• Measurement and valuation of works, including variations
• Procurement and management of subcontractors and suppliers
• Preparation of cost reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Negotiation and agreement of final accounts
• Liaison with clients, site teams, and internal departments
• Supporting tendering and estimating activities where required

Requirements

• Fully qualified Quantity Surveyor (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry
• Relevant experience in brickwork / masonry packages is essential
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard QS practices

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with main contractors
• Knowledge of standard forms of contract
• Experience with CosteX
