PERI are one of the world’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of formwork and scaffolding systems. PERI UK has an exciting opportunity for two Sales Engineers, with one based in the Midlands (flexible location, Rugby, Leeds or Birmingham) and one based in the South (Brentwood). This role requires extensive sales experience in the scaffolding industry.

Working closely with the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible to manage PERI business (customers, projects, turnover, and discount) within a defined area whilst growing our market share and building new customer trading relationships.

Key Skills:

  • Ability to develop and maintain a project pipeline
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Negotiation skills to be able to make trading agreements and discount levels with our customers and introduce new products to market
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels with customers to win their trust and increase their confidence in PERI
  • Develop relationships with Technical staff and customers to promote efficient use of products

Key duties:

  • Work closely with the Business Development Manager to ensure the most cost effective and profitable solutions are given to the customer
  • Collaborate with and support other regions and functions
  • Working closely with the Business Development Manager to deliver annual personal sales targets
  • Liaise with customers to manage queries and complaints, managing customer debt
  • Operate within the company financial guidelines

What you’ll need

Experience

  • Experience in working/selling within the Scaffolding Construction Industry
  • Good experience in all aspects of scaffolding and scaffolding solutions, ability to see a job before it’s built
  • Good experience in developing or helping clients to develop scaffolding schedules, if required to do so
  • A good understanding of scaffolding businesses in relation to their internal operations and pricing structures to enable our win strategy and PERI positioning
  • Solid understanding of system applications and how they hold advantages over traditional scaffolding methods
  • Ability to understand customers’ needs and have a strong understanding of scaffolding application solutions
  • Experience in scaffolding estimating
  • Ability to sell within a premium brand and position our brand within market
