EQUANS is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our team in Silchester Estate London on a permanent basis. This is a Fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Working closely with Contract Managers to oversee and supervise a number of contracts from handover to final completion (completion of Defects Liability Period), including preparation of the SHEQ Plan. To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy and ensure all employees reporting to you do the same and being responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are upheld to the highest of standards at all times.
What will you deliver?
- Preparation and management of the contract programme, in conjunction with the Contract Manager
- Providing project direction, focus and consistency across a number of schemes
- Assistance in work generation:
- Providing information for tender bids
- Attending tender interviews and presentations
- Maintaining excellent relationships with Clients
- Abiding by the Equans Competition Compliance guidelines
- Supervision of and responsibility of the Contract Managers and Site Managers, including the following areas;
- Health and Safety Issues
- Quality Control
- Resource allocation and control (in liaison with the Quantity Surveyor)
- Liaison with the client and contract administrator on both a formal and informal basis
- Ensure compliance and planning supervisor requirements
- Ensuring that site set up works is complied with and all licenses, permits etc. and ensuring are in place prior to contract commencement
- Attendance, preparation and reporting at relevant meetings in relation to their projects

- To ensure Contract Managers have a clear understanding of the way the job is priced to enable us to take full benefit of any opportunities for variations, change is specification or scope of works to maximise profit
- To make regular site visits (minimum of one per week) to inspect the job. During these visits the following must be checked:-
- Check (and sign if required) the Contract Managers, Site Managers weekly check list
- Ensure that all inspections are being carried out (scaffold inspection, hoist etc)
- Ensure that all necessary permits are being completed (hot works, abrasive wheels etc)
- Supporting the Contract Managers by
- Walking the work and carrying out spot inspections
- Work being carried out to specification
- Health and Safety issues (scaffold, fire extinguishers etc) – see Apollo Safety at Work handbook
- Quality Control
- Site Cleanliness
- Residents comments
- Clerk of works comments
- Any other appropriate checks
- Check the paperwork is in place
