To build on our success we are now looking to recruit an Environmental Advisor to support the role out of our Skanska UK Environment Strategy based in Bristol and regions. This is a key role where you will promote the pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement of Skanska Environment, Sustainability and Community Relations performance through construction.
You will:
- Promote continuous improvement of project environmental/sustainability performance by fulfilling the duties of an Environmental Advisor.
- Assist in the development and implementation, of Construction Environmental Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans and site-specific control measures
- Support project teams, including the production of client reports and external liaison where relevant
- Supervise and mentor the development of project Environmental Coordinators
- Undertake environmental audits and inspections, both internal and external, including suppliers and waste contractors
- Support the delivery of BREEAM/LEED/WELL certification on projects including the assimilation of monthly data
- Be familiar with whole life carbon assessment and associated embodied carbon calculation
- Represent and promote the Environment Department in meetings, workshops, management reviews and forums, both internal and external
We’re looking for:
- Construction Industry Experience within a main contractor
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel across projects
- Relevant CSCS Card
- BREEAM AP or equivalent
- Associate Membership with IEMA or similar professional membership would be preferred.
