Role
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Coordinator with experience managing multiple internal packages on site (drylining, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, basic MEP) in your career with a developer or main contractor. It’s for our flagship estate transformation scheme in Acton, which is currently at demolition stage, meaning we’re keen to meet people who’ve got experience delivering something end-to-end.
You’ll either already be in a senior role or be a high-performing Technical Coordinator looking for a big step up, delivering multiple blocks.
This site, right opposite the Crossrail station, is buzzing at the moment – we’re tackling the RC Frame next and as this is a transformation scheme all of our teammates have the extra responsibility and privilege of meeting some of your end “customers” every day out and about, by way of the current residents of our partner Catalyst.
We’re doing our first handovers of low-rise blocks to Catalyst at the end of this year, and as a complex 900+ home scheme which goes up to x storeys there’s lots to tackle and learn between now and wrapping up in 2028, as well as the possibility of growing into a Technical Manager role with the extra responsibilities that’d bring.
If learning is what you’re about, this team is an ideal one to join – established, with an experienced Technical Manager who’s been here ten years to learn from, within a candid feedback culture and a wish to give responsibility and support, not to micromanage. You’ll be giving and getting feedback from day one, because we think it’s the fastest way to learn and to build trust. We want to be challenged by you, too – we hate unnecessary hierarchy and “my way or the highway” has no place here.
Travel to site is paid for, the benefits on offer are top of market and we reckon the site office is one of the nicest, best kitted-out you’ll find in London. And the most important thing is that the site is run to the very highest standards of Health & Safety – we set really high standards, which is why one of our other schemes achieved the highest ever CCS audit score across all categories. That’s the benchmark you’ll be part of upholding here.

What we do: We’ve worked in partnership for 30 years to create outstanding places in London. We’re growing, with our construction turnover doubling, and with a pipeline of new projects where we’re raring to get started and make a difference.
Why we’re here: We’re here to pursue better, differently.
Better: One of The Sunday Times’ “100 Best Small Companies to Work For” for over a decade, winner of multiple Pride In The Job and WhatHouse awards for our people and the quality of our homes, and proud to have the nation’s best site in our ranks (winning the highest possible marks across the Considerate Constructors Scheme’s five areas – the first site ever to do so in 22 years of the CCS).
Differently: Our culture is unusual. Different means more transparent with information. More direct with feedback that helps us all grow. More rigorous about setting goals, then giving more freedom to go and achieve them. It’s definitely not for everyone. We don’t hire know-it-alls, we hire “learn-it-alls”. As our CEO, Killian, says: “We work hard to find people who thrive on context and responsibility, rather than rules and procedures. We then work like owner managers, not a leader and a load of helpers.”
Benefits:
Private medical insurance for you and your family through Vitality (including discounts on spa breaks, cinema tickets and your food shopping, free Starbucks, 50% off Virgin Active Membership and more).
Income Protection Insurance to help you cope financially if you’re unable to work due to illness or injury, Life Assurance equivalent to four times your salary, one additional wellbeing day on top of your annual leave & Bank Holidays and enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
We think the best benefit of being here is the learning culture and the ability to make a real difference – we dislike hierarchy and politics, and “not my job” isn’t in our vernacular. Which means if you really care about raising the bar and really want to feel connected to the end product, as opposed to like a cog in a big machine, this could be the place for you to grow your career.
