Latest figures from the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) show that 6,442 people are currently working on the Olympic Park and 3,228 are working on the Olympic Village.
On the Olympic Park 20% of the workforce are resident in the five Host Boroughs – Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest – and over half live in London.
Figures released earlier this year revealed foreign construction workers made up 24% of the site team but the ODA counts workers as “local” even if they have lived in a neighbouring borough for just one day.
