Osborne signs-up for online PQQ system

Osborne is the latest contractor to sign-up to an online system designed to take the hassle out of answering Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs).

The scheme from The Builder’s Profile removes lengthy form-filling and wasteful duplication from the PQQ process.

Builder’s Profile creates a profile for firms featuring their safety and technical competences which can then be shown to prospective clients when they ask for a PQQ.

The information is held securely and contractors are able to search for a profile instantly to find all of the PQQ data they require.

It is estimated that around eight million hours every year is wasted on the current dated paper-based system.

Frank Becker, director of The Builder’s Profile, said: “Our facility is designed to remove the headache of endless form filling.

“We know that PQQs are a hassle, but acknowledge they are a necessary process for the collection of essential business information which is why we created an online facility to ease the burden.

“The Builder’s Profile is a data collection and distribution scheme that an increasing number of construction businesses are embracing in order to make their lives easier.”

Paul McCulloch, Group Supply Manager, Osborne, said: “Osborne is pleased to be using the Builder’s Profile for our pre-qualification requirements.

“The online service allows us to continue to ensure the highest standards of our supply chain and, by removing the need for paper questionnaires we are becoming more efficient and saving both time and money.

“Equally important, we are relieving our supply chain of a huge burden which will allow them to focus on what they do best for us: construction.”
