House builders circle big Merseyside scheme

Investment firm Gresham House has gained planning consent for housing on a 28 acre site on Merseyside.

The firm is understood to be in talks with several house builders about building up to 440 homes on the Newton-le-Willows site.

The scheme also includes plans for 35,000 sq of commercial building.
