The Will Alsop-designed scheme, dubbed the ‘Spaceship’ will replace the existing building at Mermaid House, 2 Puddle Dock, EC4, and provide 280 rooms, a 500-seat banqueting suite, and rooftop swimming pool.
The six star hotel will feature translucent concrete and glass cladding, and a glass-only façade on the river side.
