The company said it was only considering 15 redundancies and would look to relocate Skanska Rashleigh Weatherfoil staff into other parts of the business were possible.
The firm blamed the small scale redundancies on the slowdown in work.
A spokesperson said: “Skanska confirms that as part of our policy for being open and honest with our staff, during a recent briefing, staff working in our Mechanical & Electrical Operating Unit and our Ceilings Operating unit, were advised that due to a downturn in market conditions a small number of staff could be at risk of redundancy.
“This particular part of our business employs around 560 people and the number of potential redundancies is less than 15 at our offices in Woking”
“Skanska is a diverse organisation, with many different operations and our first priority will be to see what other opportunities may be available across the business before any final decisions are taken,” the firm added.
