The job, which was won following a four-way pitch, involves some internal structural demolition and remodelling to create 36 luxury apartments, as well as a new build extension and penthouse.
Pochin will start on site in January 2011 and the project is scheduled to take 58 weeks to complete. Architect for the project is Hawkins/Brown Architects and structural engineer is Price & Myers Consulting Engineers.
The project for Liberty Properties will also see works carried out to the existing on-site restaurant, structural alterations to the basement and external window remodelling.
“Pochin has worked with Liberty Properties on several developments across the North West, including the recently completed mixed-use scheme HQ Chester,” said Pochin Construction’s managing director Jon Pochin.
“To be awarded this latest contract demonstrates Liberty’s confidence in our ability to deliver its projects and exceed its expectations, and comes in line with Pochin Construction’s business strategy to win more contracts on a national scale.”
