The contract is valued at up to £62m and will run from April 2011 with an option to extend for a further five years after 2016.
May Gurney’s contract could also be extended in value when private drains and sewers are transferred to water companies in October 2011.
This latest deal brings May Gurney’s total haul of long-term AMP5 maintenance contracts to 11, with several other projects still being tendered.
More than 95% of May Gurney’s business now comes from long-term contracts in the public and regulated sectors.
