The first, a £28m contract with the University of Reading, will see Morgan Sindall carry out the second phase of redevelopment of the University’s halls of residence.
The work will involve constructing two new halls of residence, creating nearly 900 study bedrooms in total.
Work will start in March this year and is expected to complete by July 2012.
The firm picked up the contract as one of the University’s construction partners in a four-year redevelopment framework worth around £200m.
The second contract worth £22m is for North Lanarkshire Council as part of its £250m Schools and Centres 21 programme and involves building the Chryston High School and Cultural Centre in Chryston, near Glasgow.
The new school building will include 50 classrooms and practical rooms, a games hall, a fitness studio and an all-weather sports pitch, while the cultural centre will replace the local library and community hall.
Work is expected to be completed in time for the start of the 2012 Autumn term.
